Producer Summary:From the high altitude vineyards of Finca Monteflores in Mendoza, we bring you this beautifully made Estate Bottled Malbec; the newest addition to our herd. Created with steak and wine lovers in mind and honouring the dining clubs of the 18th and 19th Century which celebrated the beefsteak as a symbol of liberty and prosperity.
Short Tasting Note:Bright violet in colour with aromas of plum and blueberry. Palate shows supple berry fruits, vanilla and soft tannins.
Long Tasting Note:Hand-picked grapes and small parcel fermentation in concrete tanks are the secret to this wine’s outstanding quality and terroir expression. Expertly blended by award-winning French winemaker Matthieu Grassin, not only does this taste good, it also does good as it’s certified Fairtrade. A proportion of the wine has been aged in French oak for six months. Bright violet in colour, this wine bursts with aromas of plum and blueberry, whilst vanilla and subtle hints of coffee express its time with oak. On the palate it shows supple berry fruits and cinnamon nuances balanced by soft, rounded tannins.
