Ehrmanns Wines launches ‘Rewild’ with focus on sustainability and rewilding

Ehrmanns Wines is launching ‘Rewild’, a new wine range which will plant a tree for every bottle purchased.
Working in partnership with Ecologi tree saplings will be planted in several global reforestation projects (*1). Consumers will be able to click on www.ecologi.com/rewild to review the total number of planted trees and their locations.
Rewild is designed to appeal to the growing number of conscientious consumers (*2).The brand is underpinned by the ethos that ‘tiny individual actions drive collective change,’ offering a practical step that consumers can take.
Commenting on the launch, Keith Lay, head of marketing at Ehrmanns said: “Sustainability is a growing concern for our business. We have worked with Ecologi to offset carbon emissions of all employees at Ehrmanns, and we were inspired to create this range by their philosophy that small actions are much better than none. We accept that the wine business, including our own, has a long way to go to reach a carbon neutral position. This is a little step in the right direction, and we are planning for others to follow.”

The Rewild range will initially include three wines, focusing on a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, Argentine Malbec and Malbec Rosé due to the massive consumer appeal of these varietals and the simple objective to plant as many trees as possible.
The Rewild packaging and design were developed by the award-winning design and branding agency, Amphora Design.
