Willow Bridge Estate partners strategically with Ehrmanns in a move for long-term growth in the UK

03 December 2015

Leading Western Australian winery Willow Bridge Estate has partnered with Ehrmanns with the aim of growing distribution across all UK trade channels.

Willow Bridge Estate is family owned and operated by principals Jeff and Vicki Dewar, who bought the picturesque 180-hectare hillside property located in the Ferguson Valley in 1996.  Since then they have adopted a fast track approach to realising their vision of creating wines that were both opulent and accessible.     Their dedication has been recognized by James Halliday who rated Willow Bridge Estate a 5 Star Winery in his 2015 Australian Wine Companion, commenting that ‘many of its wines offer exceptional value for money’

Jeff Dewar commented: “We are looking forward to joining forces with Ehrmanns and have been impressed by their understanding of this highly competitive but nonetheless, key market for us.  They are a family owned company and like us appreciate the importance of commitment and investment in order to achieve your goals”

Mark Chapman, Ehrmanns CEO, said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership and believe Willow Bridge Estate fits perfectly into our growing Australian portfolio of family owned wineries, which includes Angove Family Winemakers, a 5 star winery from the Mclaren Vale. We are highly impressed with Jeff and Vicki’s vision and drive, the quality of the wines and their commitment to preserving the eco system of the Ferguson Valley. We look forward to bringing their critically acclaimed wines to a wider UK audience”

The partnership will commence on 1st January 2016, and Ehrmanns, will be showcasing the Willow Bridge Estate wines at the Australia Day Tasting in London on the 26th January 2016 and at the Ehrmanns Portfolio tastings on the 9th February in London and the 11th February in Manchester, together with a remarkable selection of new releases from Willow Bridge’s Antipodean neighbours, Giesen, new ‘jewels in the crown’ from Ehrmanns’ extensive Iberian portfolio and the award winning range from  Chile’ Santa Carolina,  Wine Enthusiast’s New World Winery of the Year 2015.
