Located in Jumilla D.O.P (South-East Spain), the region is best known for Monastrell with the wines benefiting from a combination of a continental climate softened by the influence of the Mediterranean and a wine making tradition that dates back 5,000 years. Gémina Cuvée Selección is a Decanter gold medal winner.
Short Tasting Note:Deep colour and concentrated aromas of ripe red and black fruit. The wine is aged for eight months in French and American oak to soften the tannins and provide complexity and subtle spice.
Long Tasting Note:Hand-selected Monastrell grapes from ungrafted pre-phylloxera European vines that are over forty years old, result in a robust, complex and well-structured wine. This Monastrell has a deep colour and concentrated aromas of ripe red and black fruit. The wine is aged for eight months in French and American oak to soften the tannins and provide complexity and subtle spice to the palate, which has a persistent finish. Pair with red or white meats, meat-based paella or hard cheeses.
