Gravel Pit Shiraz

Product No:210031
Producer:Willow Bridge Estate
Name:Gravel Pit Shiraz
Region:Western Australia
Wine Style:Still
Producer Summary:The vineyard is sited high on the western watershed of the Darling Ranges of the Ferguson Valley, with the vines enjoying spectacular views over the coastal plain, and across the waters of Geographe Bay to Cape Naturaliste. The vineyard is 25km from the coast as the crow flies, and receives the cooling afternoon sea breeze during summer. At an elevation between 230 and 280 meters, the estate is generally two degrees or more cooler than the coastal plain, with ripening times similar to the cool southern parts of the neighbouring Margaret River wine region.
Short Tasting Note:Vibrant, juicy and spicy, full flavoured and complex.
Long Tasting Note:A seamless profile of rich dark plums, mixed berry fruits, licorice and toasty oak. The texture is silky and dense, perfectly matched by fine tannins.
Awards:Trophy for Wine of the Show, Best Red Wine & Best Shiraz at the 2016 Geographe Wine Show (2015 Vintage), 2016 Geographe Wine Show Gold (2015 Vintage) 96 points in the 2018 Halliday Wine Companion (2015 vintage)
