Beef Up Your BBQ & The Beast Specially Commended at the Drinks Business Awards

Ehrmanns launched a 'Beef Up Your BBQ' campaign for Beefsteak Club in April 2021, in response to the growing popularity of barbecuing in the UK.
The campaign ran in 2021 and 2022, encouraging people to take their BBQ experience to the next level, with the best food, equipment and Beefsteak Club wines.
The initiative was specially commended at the Drinks Business Awards 2022 in the Consumer Campaign of the Year category.
Here's what the judges had to say: 'This brand benefited in a big way from a tie-up with National BBQ week, resulting in a 32% increase in sales. The judges found it refreshing that Beefsteak Club wasn't "trying to find influencers or put fancy pictures on bottles" but instead diligently pursued a simple but effective strategy."'
The awards were presented at a ceremony after the London Wine Fair in June, where Beefsteak Club 'The Beast' Dark Red also picked up a special commendation for wine design & packaging:
'The judges were impressed by the beastly bottle with black-spot UK varnish. They felt the design was guaranteed to catch the eye of consumers and praised the commercial potential of the Douro wine, saying that "for the packaging and the price they absolutely nailed it."'
