Angove is a fifth-generation South Australian family winery with a passion for crafting iconic and single vineyard wines from McLaren Vale as well as a selection of premium wines from some of South Australia’s great wine growing regions.
Founded in 1886 by Dr. William Thomas Angove, Angove is one of the oldest remaining family-owned and operated wine companies in Australia.
John C. Angove has headed the winery since the 1980s and has strived to make wines of provenance that express the true characteristics of their region and terroir. Today, this ambition has been realised and is brought to life by sustainable ranges such as Angove Organic and Warboys. John has been honoured at the Drinks Business magazine’s Annual Green Awards in London with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in promoting sustainability in the Australian wine industry.
Angove’s focus on sustainability in all aspects of its winery and vineyards will ensure that its wines will be with us for many generations to come.
