2013 has been dubbed 'the vintage of a generation' in New Zealand and the Giesen Single Vineyard Clayvin Pinot Noir is no exception.

Writing in the Expert's Choice section of Decanter magazine, Peter McCombie MW notes that in Marlborough 'we are seeing wines with more substantial structure'.

The Clayvin Pinot Noir produced in the historical Marlborough vineyard is of the same name is described as:

"Bursting with black cherry, baked tamarillo, vanilla and spice aromas; sweetly fruity and quite substantial on the palate, with firm grip and juicy acidity. Will improve." 17.5/20
