Short Tasting Note:An intense and concentrated wine, bursting with ripe plum and black cherry fruit flavours, black pepper and hints of liquorice on the long complex finish.
Long Tasting Note:An intense and concentrated wine, bursting with ripe plum and black cherry fruit flavours, black pepper and hints of liquorice on the long complex finish. The grapes were grown in the Rapel Valley which receives a large amount of rain during the short winter months and enjoys long summers of cool breezes and sunshine. Temperatures vary greatly from warm days to cool nights which allow the grapes to ripen slowly to maintain natural acidity and develop complex flavours. The grapes were handpicked and the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months in Santa Carolina’s historic underground cellar in the heart of Santiago. This wine suits juicy steak, spicy sauces, especially curry and mature cheeses.
